02 / Origin Story

THE F.I.T.T. PIT was born out of frustration.

After turning 40, I walked into gym after gym in Boston looking for a place that understood what my body actually needed. What I found instead were programs designed for 25-year-olds, coaches who didn't understand hormonal changes, and communities where I felt like an outsider.

So in 2012, I built the place I was looking for.

This isn't a gym for everyone.

It's a gym for people like us — adults over 40 who refuse to accept that getting older means getting weaker, slower, or less capable. People who understand that fitness after 40 isn't about looking good in a mirror — though that happens too.
